handle materialI am extremely picky with regards the type of handle material I use. To ensure the highest quality I stabilise and dye all my own wood in my workshop. Stabilisation is a process using a vacuum pump and chamber where I remove all the oxygen from the pores of the wood and replace it with a stabilising resin which is then cured in an oven. This helps prevent warping, cracking and anything else that may occur in a natural material like wood when it's exposed to different temperatures or moisture and ensures the longevity of the knife.

I also cast all my own resin based handles, using wood shavings, pine cones, metal shavings or other materials to create something absolutely unique and eye catching. I then shape and sculpt my handles in such a way they are as comfortable as possible in the hand without sacrificing the beauty of the materials
